D&L Wire EDM is a small tool and die shop in the Lake Mathews area. The shop runs wire EDM, a CNC mill, a press and other hand machinery. It builds dies for clay brick products and for stamping, and cuts blades for ticketing and similar uses.

D&L Wire EDM is a father-and-son shop with a combined 60 years of tool and die engineering experience between them.

Our story

The owners opened the shop in 1989 after growing tired of the daily drive on the 91 freeway from Corona to Compton. They had worked for a company they respected but were spending too much time on the road. They liked the work, so they started their own shop. The father and son run the machining, and Shelley Newson handles the bookkeeping.
